The Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals (or SOCAP) is a not for profit organisation representing professionals working in the Customer Service industry.
SOCAP is a worldwide organisation that was originally founded in the United States of America in 1973. SOCAP UK followed in 1986 and there are now SOCAP organisations throughout the world including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, Korea, Brazil and Canada. World-wide there are over 4,000 members.
SOCAP in Europe
SOCAPiE is Europe’s oldest and foremost professional body for customer service, being able to trace our roots to 1986 when SOCAP UK was formed. We are a not for profit organisation representing professionals working in the customer service industry throughout Europe. We are primarily a membership organisation, run by and for our members.
We promote the exchange of ideas, expertise and opinions within the customer service industry and amongst academics, opinion formers and governments, and we develop and encourage a higher professional profile for those working in customer service.
We do this by maintaining dialogue and engagement with our various stakeholders and providing products and services to help organisations achieve world-class service delivery.
